The SABC has withdrawn advertisements referring to Tshwane as South Africa's capital following a complaint to the AdvertisingStandards Authority (ASA)."The SABC has officially decided to withdraw all radioadvertisements of the Tshwane Metropolitan Council which refer toTshwane as a capital city," said CEO of the civil rights initiativeAfriForum, Kallie Kriel in a statement on Thursday.AfriForum's - an initiative by trade union Solidarity -complained after several SABC radio stations broadcastadvertisements, in six languages,referring to Tshwane as "Africa'sleading capital".Manager of the public broadcaster's policy matters Fakir Hassinundertook in writing to the ASA to withdraw the misleadingadvertisements with "immediate effect", said Kriel. "The capital's name is Pretoria, not Tshwane," he said. But, still, no matter from which way you enter this city, all directions lead to Tswane....
